Semblante

Semblante is a curious little thing: the first level of a platforming game with a psychological twist, starring noone else but Jung himself. It is more of a prototype, a test of game mechanics and showcase of graphical style, but it is interesting enough to warrant a bit of attention.

There's a couple of interesting ideas in it, such as sneaking from light ray to light ray, scaring hostile shadows away, screaming to lure them and seeing enemies combine into larger, scarier beasts. It reminds me a little of Heart of Darkness with a darker tone to it (pun not intended). In this game Freudian slip means missing that damn ledge by inches.

You can download Semblante here and you can read a little more on it here.
